I.7.3 Pompeii. December 2005. Looking south along west side of atrium to small garden. According to Jashemski, in the lightwell or small garden at the rear of the atrium, was a small raised flower bed. In the bed was a tiny semicircular pool, which was fed by roof water. There were three marble bases which were probably placed at the edge of the pool. On the south wall behind thr small garden was a garden painting. See Jashemski, W. F., 1993.
