VI.7.18 Pompeii. December 2006. Entrance doorway. According to Della Corte, due to the large painting in the peristyle, this house was normally known as “of Adone ferito”. However it was also attributed to M. (…?) Asellinus, because of the finding of a seal of his servant or procurator Onomastus –

According to Pagano and Prisciandaro, found in the soil excavated here in November 1835, was a mark with an inscription –
Onomasti
M(arci) Asellini    [CIL X 8058, 61]
