VI.15.5 Pompeii. March 2009. Doorway to room 3, cubiculum. According to NdS, on the north side of the atrium were three cubicula. All three of the doorways would have had wooden doorsteps or thresholds. Found in one of these cubicula was a bronze seal with the name of C. Stlacci Epitynchan(i). According to NdS, on the north side of the atrium were three cubicula.

All three of the doorways would have had wooden doorsteps or thresholds.

Found in one of these cubicula was a bronze seal with the name of C. Stlacci Epitynchan(i).

VI.15.5 Pompeii. March 2009. Room 6, ala on north side of atrium. According to NdS, both alae had a floor of opus signinum. This ala had walls decorated with red and yellow panels.

VI.15.5 Pompeii. March 2009. Room 7, south wall of tablinum, looking west. According to NdS, opposite the entrance doorway was the tablinum, with a good mosaic floor. In the middle of the floor was the usual rectangle indicating that this tablinum was also used as a triclinium. It was devoid of decoration, but there were some remains of the oldest decoration such as in the walls and doorposts, covered in grooved stucco, and with a red dado. According to NdS, opposite the entrance doorway was the tablinum, with a good mosaic floor.

In the middle of the floor was the usual rectangle indicating that this tablinum was also used as a triclinium.

It was devoid of decoration, but there were some remains of the oldest decoration such as in the walls and doorposts, covered in grooved stucco, and with a red dado.
